Client's Review - Mike's Story

Mike has had an amazing journey and his Mighty Aphrodite photo shoot was the perfect way to celebrate his achievements.

"I had lost in total 15 stones, and 11 and a half of that in just five months. I then had two tummy tucks to get rid of the loose skin and decided that it was time to push myself out of the comfort zone and do something mad like a naked photo shoot.  I didn't actually plan on going naked and bought some sexy boxer shorts with me but I was so comfortable and proud of my new 'slim' body that it seemed like something that could be fun, and it was!"

"I've never been one to struggle with nerves and was more focussed than nervous. When I arrived the guys were lovely and therefore it was never really an issue to me, I just kept asking that they didn't get too much of my tummy tuck scar in! The camera and lighting creates magic !"

"The shoot was actually really good fun, very relaxed and at my pace and because I could see the results instantly that made it even more fun. Iit was more 'technical' than I thought (move left a bit, right a bit) but clearly they know what they are doing to get the best out of you and hence I was happy to play along."

"I felt great afterwards, I was proud of what I had done and loved the pictures as they were arty as opposed to just 'nude'. I was very proud of the results and looked forward to getting my album through in the post which now takes pride of place in my bedroom."

"If you like stepping over the line and doing something which makes you grow inside then do it! You'll love the results and also the empowerment is astonishing.  I can't recommend the guys enough and would love to come back in a few years and have another go!!"

A very Yummy Mummy

Mum-of-4 Mrs D wanted to create some really sexy images as a present for her husband - I think we managed that for her!

After her shoot Mrs D. emailed me to say " I am still buzzing and you guys made it very easy for me. I felt really at home with you both, and of course you can use the pictures I'm really proud of them! I wish I could do this for a living it was sooooo fun!!!

Client's Review - Jane's Story

Jane was worried before her shoot that because she was a size 14 we wouldn't be able to make her look like the pictures in our galleries. We told her "but lots of the girls in the galleries are a size 14 too!" And we proved it when she had her shoot. Thank you to Jane for sharing her experience :o) xx

                                    Why did you decide to do a boudoir photo shoot? 

My 42nd birthday was looming and I felt that if I didn't do this now I never would. Selfishly perhaps I was doing this for myself, obviously my husband would benefit from the final results but with not a lot of body confidence I was hoping I would see myself differently.How right I was!! Having spent hours researching web sites I decided Mighty Aphrodite was definitely for me.

How did you feel before the shoot?

My excitement turned to nervous fear as the day of the shoot arrived, but within 10 minutes of sitting down with Leigh and Zena I felt so relaxed I was raring to go. Zena took me up to the studio to do my make up while Leigh and my husband chatted downstairs.

Did the shoot go as you expected?
Leigh explained how the shoot would take place, the music went on and we began. Zena was in the studio checking the photos as Leigh took them. My worries about posing soon disappeared as Leigh told me exactly what to do, so it was a lot easier than I had expected. I had a chance to look at the photos as they were being taken - I couldn't believe it was me! When the time came to remove my underwear Leigh asked if I was happy to do it, if not it wouldn't have been a problem, but the nerves had gone and I was really enjoying the experience so I was happy to oblige! The time passed so quickly I couldn't believe how many pictures had been taken. Afterwards we went back down to the office where Leigh explained all about editing and showed us on one of my photos what he could do. Then the hard work of choosing begins!

How did you feel after the shoot?
I was on such a high when we left, my confidence had rocketed and when we looked at the photos I couldn't believe how much my pictures looked like the gallery photos on the website. Hubby was over the moon too and we spent ages deciding on which ones should go in the album.

What would you say to anyone who is thinking of having a shoot?
I have shown the photos to more people than I thought I would and they have been totally impressed and a few have said having seen the photos they would very much consider having it done themselves. I think I must have looked at them every day since I got them! I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, it's an amazing experience. If you're not sure about being totally naked then it's not a problem but I'm sure that once you're in the company of Leigh and Zena you will wonder what all the worry was for!

Third Shoot for Claire

For a lot of our clients, once just isn't enough... they enjoy their shoot so much they come back for a second! A few clients even come back three times...like Claire. Client's review - Angela's story

Angela had her boudoir shoot in 2011 - at 47 and a size 12, she is fairly typical of the average Mighty Aphrodite client, so we asked if she would give a review of her shoot and share some of her images to show how stunning she looks.  There seems to be a misconception that all our clients are 21 and a size 8 - this is actually very rare!  Most of our clients are in their 30's & 40's and average at a size 12.  Read what Angela has to say about her experience...

Artistic Nude Studio Set

What was your reason for doing the shoot?

I really wanted to do the shoot for myself before I get too old and frumpy! It is hard work keeping fit!

How did you feel before the shoot. Were you nervous or worried about anything?

Before the shoot I didn’t really have time to think about it due to work commitments and only really got nervous on your drive! I almost drove away but thought “No, get yourself in there”.



Glamorous Studio Set

Was the shoot how you expected? Were any aspects easier or harder than you expected.                                

Never having done anything like this before, I had no expectations. The biggest surprise was actually doing full nude. I had already decided I was not going to do full nude and would perhaps consider topless.
But you both made me feel so confident and relaxed it just seemed the natural thing to do and, I have got to say, was just so liberating.
I felt so confident and excited that I had actually done the shoot. Seeing the photos as we went along, and both of your reactions, really helped boost my confidence.
Never did I think I would be happy standing naked at the end of the shoot!

How did you feel after the shoot.

I felt just wonderful, very happy and keen to tell friends how much I had enjoyed it.

Have you shown anyone else your pictures? What was their reaction.

I have shown three girl friends who think they are just amazing. I have also shown a male friend, much to his delight, and he was just blown away by them - all of them commented how beautiful and artistic they are.

Do you have any advice for anyone who is considering having a shoot?

Just do it! The only real courage you need is to walk through the front door - after that you both make it so easy.

Second Time Around

It is amazing how many clients have come for a second shoot this year. Ms. T had her first shoot in 2009 and came back to day to try out 2 different studio sets. This shot was taken in our Glamorous studio set and we had to ask Ms. T if we could share it as we think she looks stunning!
